Our Orthodontic Team
Dr Mariola Chalhoub
Mariola graduated in Spain, University of Valencia in 2012 and has been practicing dentistry for the past 10 years in the UK. She finished a Masters four year program in Orthodontics while she was working alongside very renowned Specialist orthodontics in Marylebone. Since she finished the MSc, her practice is limited to orthodontics only.
She understands that sometimes dentistry procedures can be scary, so she has always tried to put patients at ease with a very approachable character. She treats adults as well as children patients for early prevention and straightening teeth with modern techniques such as Invisalign First as well as traditional braces. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and visiting her family and friends in Spain. Travelling is her passion.

Private treatment is widely available. Fees for private orthodontic treatment are usually start from £2,500, but will depend on the complexity of your case.
Braces don't hurt when you get them, but minor discomfort is common. Some patients have pain while their mouth adjusts to their braces, and they describe it as a sore or achey discomfort. Mild over-the-counter pain medication are very effective at soothing braces pain
The average treatment time for traditional metal braces is 12-24 months, however, this is greatly affected by the complexity of your case. Someone with a mild overbite and only a couple of crooked teeth may only need 12 months. Someone with a severe overbite, a crossbite, several crooked teeth, and impacted teeth may need every day of that 24 months.
Orthodontic treatment is available on the NHS for young people under the age of 18 at no cost, if a dentist feels they need it. NHS orthodontic treatment isn't usually available for adults, but may be approved on a case-by-case basis if needed for health reasons. Your dentist can give you more information.
